46 sign-ins, 11 green, 11 red, 6 orange, 8 white and 6 yellow
competitors. We sold 7 one-day park permits and 7 annual permits, as well
as 5 new SMOC memberships.
New map, beautiful day, but hot. Red and green runners all noted the
water stop was late in the run. Many finishers earned a snack by picking
up trash in the woods. This included 2 large garbage bags and a metal
folding chair, gas can, many bottles, etc. The Waterloo Park Service
helped dispose of this garbage and provided additional bags for
collection. We should do this again.
We were able to use 7 controls from Infiterra Sports- they ran a training event
the day before and left up some controls. Thanks to Zachary Chisholm and
the adventure race group. Bill Luitje printed this portion of the yet
unpublished Prospect Hill map, including north/south lines, a meter scale and a
legend. Thanks Bill!
