Permanent Orienteering Course
Maps for three permanent orienteering courses are available through SMOC.
Yankee Springs: The course at Yankee Springs consists of about 30 permanent control markers at locations ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced.
Pontiac Lake: This course has 25 permanent control markers at locations ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced. (The course was revised in August 2010. If you purchased a Pontiac Lake map before August and would like an updated map, please contact Mark Voit.)
Huron Meadows: This course has 26 permanent control markers at locations ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced. (Among our three permanent courses, this one is the most suitable for beginners.)
