Description: Stinchfield Woods, location of the University of Michigan radio observatory tower.
Directions: Separate start areas on the south and east sides of Stinchfield Woods.
South start area: Take US-23 north from Ann Arbor or south from Brighton to the North Territorial Road exit. Go west 8.3 miles to Dexter-Pinckney Road. Then .2 miles west of this intersection, you will see a building on the left (south) for a Montessori school and a dentist's office. Orienteering signs will direct you to park there.
East start area: Take US-23 north from Ann Arbor or south from Brighton to the North Territorial Road exit. Go west 8.3 miles to Dexter-Pinckney Road. Turn north on Dexter-Pinckney Road. Orienteering signs will direct you to the parking area. Additional parking is available on Bell Road south of the primary lot.
